During the summer, there wasn’t any particular interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid in signing Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.

However, reports now claim that Madrid are interested in signing the Spanish midfielder.

The 29-year-old has seen limited game time for the Blues under Antonio Conte, with the Italian preferring a combination of N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in the middle of the park. This might make Fabregas seek out a move away from Chelsea during the summer, or at least cause so many clubs to come knocking, because he has been superb in the few games he has played.

According to Spanish publication Diario Gol, a move to Real Madrid didn’t look on the cards in January but the move could be on, this summer.

It is believed that Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is looking for a midfielder with the passing range of Fabregas, and Dario Gol reported that La Liga’s top side are lining up a bid for the Spain international when the transfer window opens up once again on July 1.
