David Luiz suffered a horror tackle from Sergio Aguero in the game against Manchester City, and the Brazilian has since been in pains.
He has played every league game for Chelsea since the incident, and has been a key component of Chelsea’s dominance in the Premier League this season.
Luiz is still feeling pains from the tackle he suffered back in December 3, but Antonio Conte is ready to manage his workload and fitness till the end of the campaign.
Luiz is yet to recover from the knee injury, but will be carefully nursed through the rest of the season.
He played against Burnley with strapping on his right knee, and so far, Conte has rested his key defender when he can, leaving him out of Chelsea’s three FA Cup games so far, including last week’s win at Wolves.
However, Chelsea’s medical staffs believe only an extended period of rest in the summer will give him the time he needs to properly get over the problem. So, Luiz will be managed till the end of the season.
