Top English referee Mark Clattenburg, has made a shock revelation that he’ll be leaving the Premier League to Saudi Arabia.

The 41-year-old announced he is leaving the Premier League to take up a role in Saudi Arabia.

Clattenburg, who’s rated as one of the best in England, was involved in a number of controversial moments when officiating Chelsea. You’d remember the Mikel Obi saga during Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United in 2012, where he was accused of saying “shut up you monkey” to the Nigerian international.

Last season, Clattenburg was once again under the spotlight at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea had a fiery encounter with Spurs. He issued nine yellow cards to Spurs players and three to Chelsea.

In total, he took charge of 33 matches the Blues have been involved in, 32 of them in the Premier League. Chelsea won 20 of those games, with eight draws and just five losses.

Under his watch, Chelsea had a win record of 60%. Will you really miss Mark Clattenburg?
