Before Antonio Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 system, Chelsea looked a bit ordinary and we didn’t look like a side capable of winning the league or even making the top four.
However, everything has changed since the switch to a 3-4-3 system.
Many pundits have tried to analyse why Conte’s system has taken the team from being ordinary to the dominant team that has only lost to Tottenham in the Premier League, since the switch.
Former Middlesbrough midfielder and football pundit George Boateng is the latest pundit to analyse the secret to Conte’s team.
“You can’t put a finger on one particular thing,” Boateng told Sky Sports.
“It’s the harmony and cohesion of the players and manager.
“The system, the back three has worked out.
“The momentum – once you get that first win under your belt the confidence grows.
“If you look at Moses for example.
“Last year he hardly kicked a ball but this season he’s been a valuable player in that position.”
Since Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 system, Chelsea have only lost two games in all competitions.
