Chelsea had a difficult game against Stoke City on Saturday, and it had to take a dying minute goal from Gary Cahill to give Chelsea the lead in that victory.
It was a good team performance, but three players stood out in that victory – N’Golo Kante, David Luiz and Gary Cahill.
When it came to passing, David Luiz, N’Golo Kante and Gary Cahill were among the best passers, as Luiz (60/68) topped the charts followed by Cesar Azpilicueta, Kante, and Cahill.
In the attacking third, Willian completed the most (24) followed by Kante, showing how important Kante was when going forward in that game.
Chelsea won 23 successful tackles to Stoke’s 21 and Kante was in the heart of it all as he won seven tackles, more than any other Chelsea player.
David Luiz and Kante (both nine) and Pedro (eight) all ranked highly in terms of ball recoveries. David Luiz made a game-high seven interceptions and 10 clearances, too, more than anyone on the pitch.
And of course, Gary Cahill gave us the all important winner.
