Chelsea defender Nathan Ake was recently recalled from his loan spell at Premier League side Bournemouth and expectations are high for the youngster.

Ake was part of the Chelsea team that won the Europa League in 2013 and the defender, who was 18 at the time, admits winning the Europa League was a great experience for him.

“The game [Europa League final] took place in Amsterdam and around that time, under Rafa Benitez, I was getting a few games,” Ake told Chelsea’s official website.

“I was only 18 at the time, I played in the semi-final and to be on the bench in the final was a great experience for me.

“Of course, winning the final was amazing for me and I still carry that with me. The fact it was in Holland meant a lot of people I know were able to come and watch so that made it even more special.”
