Nathan Ake’s return to Chelsea might not have gone as planned, as he left Bournemouth’s first team to play a substitute role in Chelsea.
While on loan at Bournemouth, Nathan Ake fought his way to become a regular in the heart of the Cherries’ defence and he caught the eyes of Chelsea. His loan spell was cut short this January as Chelsea needed options in defence and wing-back roles, and he returned to Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old hasn’t played a league game since his return, although he has featured in two FA Cup games.
The Dutchman who wasn’t called up for international duty, scored a spectacular volley in training to pass a message to Antonio Conte that his success while on loan at both Watford and Bournemouth wasn’t a fluke.
