Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, who has skippered Chelsea in the absence of captain John Terry, believes our 2-1 win West Ham have put Chelsea in a good position in the title race.

“Everyone’s fighting to win the league and we’ve put ourselves in a good position,” Cahill told Chelsea official website.

“We’ve worked tremendously hard up until this point but there are a lot of games to go. It’s a funny month, we have the FA Cup next week and then we have one league game and the international break.

“I spoke before the game, saying we had two big games to play and going into April in a healthy position should be our aim.

“We’ve now played one of those two and got the first one out of the way.”
