19-year-old Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham picked up a thigh injury while in action for his loan club Bristol City in their 2-1 defeat to Leeds United.
The striker has missed the last three games after returning to Chelsea to receive treatment.
Abraham is recovering well and Bristol City manager Lee Johnson believes the striker could be action soon for Bristol City.
“Good news as far as the scan and its best case scenario regarding the healing,” Johnson said as quoted in Daily Star.
“We now have to have good communication with Chelsea about when he comes back.
“Naturally, we want him back as soon as possible and they are going to be careful with a young player.
“It’s a matter of keeping good lines of communication open and talking to Chelsea.
“They have to look carefully at his recovery period and assess when it will be right to bring him back and allow him to play.
“He is a talented young player and one they regard highly, and they will want to look after him.
“I would like a little bit more information and, hopefully, I’ll have that later today.”
