Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a huge admirer of Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie who has caught the eye in the Serie A this season as his impressive performances have helped less-fancied Atalanta to fifth place in the Serie A.
According to Daily Star, Chelsea have been told the Blues must pay £34 million for the 20-year-old who has been compared to his countryman Yaya Toure.
However Conte feels the asking price for Kessie is too high and it is believed Conte might consider offering one of our loan players a chance in the first team instead of paying that much for Kessie.
Kessie almost joined Sunderland last summer only for the deal to fall through due to his inability to secure a work permit.
Kessie has also been scouted by Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton this season.
