Chelsea’s links with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, has continued into this season and will definitely last until the summer.

The Real Madrid striker is expected to leave the Bernabeu after growing frustrated at playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema, and Chelsea will make a bid of £40 million for his signature.

Chelsea were ready to spend well over £60 million for the Spaniard during the summer, but Madrid were intent on keeping him, and now the Blues will try to sign their target for a lesser fee.

Will a move for Madrid’s second choice striker be worth it?
