It’s no longer news that Real Madrid are highly interested in Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian has been in great form this season, and it’s not surprising Real Madrid want his services.
Chelsea are currently negotiating a new deal for the 24-year-old but the Blues will have to give Thibaut Courtois a contract worth more than £200,000-a-week to keep him out of Real Madrid’s clutches.
Courtois currently earns a salary of £120,000 per week, which is far behind the wages of Cesc Fabregas (£156,000), Diego Costa (£185,000) and Eden Hazard (£200,000).
Surely, a goalkeeper of his class deserves that much, and with Real Madrid lurking around, Chelsea just have to give him that much.
