Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Middlesbrough has been switched to a Monday night.

The Blues will host Boro at Stamford Bridge on May 8 (kick off 8pm). The game was previously scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 6 (3pm).

A statement on Chelsea’s official website read: “Our Premier League home game against Middlesbrough has been selected for live television broadcast, with a new date and kick-off time announced.

“The match will now take place at Stamford Bridge on Monday 8 May, kick-off 8pm. It will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.”

The game has been moved because Chelsea could potentially clinch the title that night.
