Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen has been on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach for the past two seasons, and the 20-year-old has developed into one of the best young centre-backs in the game.
His loan spell ends this season and he’ll return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. But then, the Denmark international is ready to force his way into Antonio Conte’s first team.
Christensen is expected to represent Denmark at this summer’s Under-21 European Championships, but impressing Conte is much more important to him.
When asked about going to June’s tournament, Christensen told BT: “I really want to play in the finals, but it depends on what happens at club level.
“I have not had a holiday in a really long time. If I’m going back to England I need to impress my new coach in pre-season.”
