Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is Chelsea’s number one transfer target for the summer after Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s meeting with director Marina Granovskaia and technical director Michael Emenalo according to The Guardian.
Sanchez’s future with Arsenal is very much in doubt, with his contract set to expire in 2018 and Conte has urged Chelsea to sign the Chilean ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Juventus, who are also said to be keen to secure his signature.
Sánchez is reportedly demanding a rise from his £130,000-a-week pay to £250,000 and has made it clear to Arsenal that this is non-negotiable and Chelsea can match his wage demands.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently admitted contract talks with 28-year-old Sanchez is on hold.
Even though Sanchez will have just one year left in his contract this summer, Arsenal will reportedly demand a whopping £50 million for the Chilean according to Standard Sports.
However, according to The Guardian, Arsenal will prefer to sell the Chilean abroad if they cannot persuade the Chilean to stay.
