Chelsea boss Antonio Conte had a confrontation with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho during Chelsea’s 1-0 FA Cup quarter final victory over Manchester United on Monday night.
The fourth official was forced to separate Conte and Mourinho after Conte reacted angrily to Antonio Valencia’s challenge on Marcos Alonso in the first half.
Conte revealed after the game that he was sticking up for his players and doesn’t have to send any message to anyone.
“I don’t have to send any message to anyone,” Conte told Fox Sports Italia.
“I am the Chelsea manager and do everything for Chelsea. My players exist, that is all. What happens off the pitch just makes us smile.
“We played with intensity, with the desire to play football, only allowed them one opportunity due to our defensive distraction.”
