Chelsea boss Antonio Conte sees a lot of himself in Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. Conte never stopped running for Juventus during his playing days just as Kante never stops running for Chelsea.
Conte has revealed he likes Kante a lot because he was also this type of player who ran non-stop for his team.
Conte also recalls how his boss at Juventus, Giovanni Trapattoni, would tell him to stop running a lot during training but he insists he won’t stop Kante from running.
“I don’t want to stop him,” Conte said.
“In my career, I remember Trapattoni tried to stop me from running during training, telling me to go into the changing room because I had to run during the game.
“I wasn’t happy about this. I wanted to stay with my team-mates.
“N’Golo is a great player and he always puts 100 per cent in the game, but also in training.
“I like this type of player a lot. I was this type of player. And I always appreciated this type of player, with great generosity, great ability to work for the team.”
