Former Chelsea defender Gary Chivers has blasted Jose Mourinho for making Manchester United play boring football, and he has praised Chelsea boss Antonio Conte for making the Blues play beautiful.

“He loves stirring it up,” he told Goal.

“He loves being in the limelight but you can’t argue with his record. He’s got a fantastic record with what he has won, in this country and in other countries.

“Whereas Conte, I think, is a different kettle of fish. [Mourinho] is a legend but boring football.”

Ron Harris, another former Chelsea defender believes Conte has done remarkably well in England.

“Antonio Conte took six or seven games [to know his team],” he added.

“They got turned over by Arsenal and Liverpool. He has got one or two new faces at the back, these players seem to enjoy it.
