Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge is unhappy with his former club, and has branded Chelsea a better team than Liverpool.
Aldridge was unhappy with Liverpool’s display in their 3-1 loss to Leicester City and he has urged his former club to take a cue from Chelsea.
“We learned nothing new from watching Liverpool on Monday night. Nothing at all,” he wrote in the Liverpool Echo.
“All that the defeat to Leicester did was underline what we already knew about this team.
“The top teams have a balance. They can play football when they’re allowed to, and they can battle and scrap when they’re not.
“Look at Chelsea. The perfect balance. They can outplay you or outfight you.
“When you play in the Premier League, you have to be ready to come up against the teams that play and the teams that fight.
“And against the latter, Liverpool have been found out repeatedly.”
Chelsea are 14 points ahead of Liverpool who are currently 5th on the table.
