N’Golo Kante is having yet another brilliant season. He was excellent while playing for Leicester City last season and has been great in the Chelsea midfield this season.
His performances have made many to tip him for the PFA Player of the Year award, and he has been tagged as the best central midfielder in the world by a couple of ex players and football pundits.
However, the 25-year-old isn’t the first name in the midfield for France and France manager Didier Deschamps has revealed why. The France boss hailed Kante while also revealing that he doesn’t always start every game due to tactical variations.
“N’Golo was performing well with us. He was with Leicester. He’s doing it this year in Chelsea. He will certainly win a second consecutive title in England,” Deschamps said.
“In his position, he’s one of the best players in Europe and the world. I will not complain.
“He’s been with us a while. He didn’t play all the matches either. It all depends on the system I choose.
“He is French. He’s with us. Obviously he’s an important player. He is very efficient in his position. On the top of that, he starts to score goals, it’s perfect.”
