Tottenham striker Harry Kane suffered an ankle injury in their quarter-final tie against Millwall on Sunday and Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino fears the England striker faces a long spell on the sidelines.
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill believes it will be a big blow to Tottenham if Kane misses the FA Cup semifinal clash against Chelsea in April.
Kane will likely fail to make the England squad to face Germany in a friendly and Lithuania in a World Cup qualifier later this month.
“I hope Harry is fit to meet up with us for England,” Cahill said.
“I don’t know the outcome of it [the injury] but it looked nasty when I saw it.
“I wish him all the best because it’s not nice to pick up an injury or be out of the game. It’s all about playing and keeping fit now.
“Harry has proved again this year that he is a key player for them — a key striker and a key talisman.
“I’m sure it will be a blow for Tottenham [if he misses the semi-final].”
