Eden Hazard has been in amazing form this season, and one of the reasons for his great form is that he’s been given a reduced defensive role under Antonio Conte, and this has seen him excel while going forward for the Blues.
The Belgian has joked that he doesn’t really have to do much defensive work because of summer signing N’Golo Kante.
Kante has been brilliant for Chelsea this season, and cuts out threats from opposition attacks in ways no one else can.
“We have to work, even if he (Kante) is one of the best players in his position,” Hazard said.
“We have to defend, because the manager wants that.
“(But) it’s true sometimes we say “I don’t defend now, because N’Golo is there”.
“If we have to do a marathon – he will win for sure. He can run 10 hours. I can run 10 metres, then I’m tired.”
