Lewis Baker has been phenomenal for Vitesse Arnhem this season, and he just did the extraordinary by scoring two goals in Wednesday’s KNVB Cup semi-final against Sparta Rotterdam away from home.
The midfielder’s first was a low drilled finish from just outside the box, which came after only 13 minutes.
Baker then doubled his side’s tally in the 73rd minute finishing off a well worked team move.
The hosts did manage to grab one back through an own goal, but Vitesse held on to progress into the final.
The 21-year-old has been in amazing form this season as he has now scored 14 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions. Indeed, with all the amazing goals he has scored this season, he deserves a shot at Conte’s team next season. Besides, Chelsea don’t have any player with his shooting abilities, like during the days of Frank Lampard, Michael Essien and Michael Ballack.
Vitesse will face AZ Alkmaar in the final on April 30.
