Just a few days ago, Barcelona and Brazil superstar Neymar, admitted that he’d like to play in the Premier League and he listed Chelsea as one of the teams he’d like to play in.
Now, about a week after that, Italian newspaper Tuttosport published a transfer rumour that Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Neymar.
According to the report, Chelsea have “reached an agreement with Barcelona” to sign Neymar in a deal worth over £150 million, but Blues manager Antonio Conte has told club owner Roman Abramovich he would prefer to bring in his own targets.
According to Tuttosport (h/t Metro‘s Chris Davie), the Italian outlet report that Abramovich and Barcelona had settled on a €180 million (£155.5 million) deal to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge but that Conte turned down the offer during a dinner meeting following Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Stoke City on Saturday.
The story featured on Tuttosport’s cover on Friday.
