John Terry has been at the club since he was 14, and his over two decade love affair with the club might be over at the end of the season, at least in the playing aspect.
John Terry’s contract runs out at the end of the season, and though he was given a contract extension last summer, he reportedly won’t be offered a contract extension by Chelsea when his current deal with the Premier League leaders runs out this summer.
According to Sam Long of the London Evening Standard, the Blues’ 36-year-old skipper will instead be free to join another club, with moves to MLS or Chinese Super League among the possibilities.
Terry’s impact on the pitch has been very limited this season, and he has made just 10 appearances in all competitions this season. Antonio Conte has even preferred Kurt Zouma to the legend in recent times.
Should this be the end of Terry’s playing career with the club he has called home since age 14?
