N’Golo Kante is known for his humility on and off the pitch, and the Frenchman has said he doesn’t see himself as the team’s best player, after being tipped by many to win the award.
The 25-year-old is at the verge of winning the Premier League title for two seasons in a row, and he has been in excellent form in the heart of Chelsea midfield. But he has downplayed talks of being the best player.
“My current form? I am flourishing, but I don’t feel like the best player in the Premier League,” he told Telefoot.
“There are a lot of good players. A lot of guys would deserve that title on my team.”
Chelsea are ten games away from being champions (it’ll definitely take lesser games than that), and Kante has said the team is taking it match by match.
“We have to take the games one after the other,” he said.
“That’s what everyone is thinking. We have to keep a hold on everything.”
