Antonio Conte has been brilliant in just his first season as Chelsea manager, and the Chelsea fans have taken to the Italian already.
The Blues are top of the table and 10 points ahead of second placed Tottenham with just 11 games till the end of the season.
Conte has always been an animated figure on the sidelines from day one and even at this stage of the season, he’s still very much into it. The Chelsea manager was very vocal in the 2-1 win against West Ham on Monday night, and Frank Lampard was surprised at his passion even when Chelsea were 2-0 up.
Lampard believes that this zest will make Chelsea players grounded till we wrap up the league title this season.
“If you’re a Chelsea fan, you know how into it he is,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
“He’s directing every player around.
“The impressive thing was not just him directing them around at 0-0 or 1-0.
“But 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go and he’s trying to get them to press and get in the right position.
“That has to filter onto the pitch. He won’t stop until they win the league if they do. He’ll keep going to the end.”
