Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is on course to win the Premier League title in his first season as Chelsea manager thanks to the success of the 3-4-3 system he adopted at Chelsea.
Ex-Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux believes the system will have suited him as a player during his days at Chelsea.
“I played that role [left wing-back] for England under [Glenn] Hoddle, a couple of times under Terry Venables and occasionally at Chelsea. It’s a position I know well. I really enjoyed it,” Le Saux told Daily Mirror.
“I was a reliable defender but I was an attacking full-back. Playing as a wing-back, you’re in a slightly more advanced position, so you’ve got the opportunity to get forward more and create chances.
“I would have loved it, especially in that Chelsea team. Its hard work but it would have been tailor-made for me.”
