The international games are here again, but it’s the same old story for David Luiz who hasn’t featured for the Brazil national team since last year.
The in-form centre-back has not featured for Brazil since a 2-2 draw with Uruguay in March last year and manager Tite – who was appointed last June – is yet to select the Chelsea star.
Despite his form for Chelsea this season, the 29-year-old wasn’t invited by Tite and he says he’s been given no explanation for his exclusion.
“I am disappointed to not be in the Brazil squad, but I respect the decision,” he told the Evening Standard.
“I’m playing regularly and trying to do my best to come back [into the squad]. Have I been told why I wasn’t picked? No.”
