Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku are reportedly on Chelsea’s shortlist of strikers to replace Diego Costa who is believed to want a Chelsea exit this summer.
According to a report on The Sun, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo have reportedly disagreed on the choice of striker Chelsea should sign this summer.
Conte reportedly wants Real Madrid’s Morata at Chelsea while Emenalo believes Lukaku will be a better signing for Chelsea due to Lukaku’s Premier League experience. Emenalo reportedly believes signing Lukaku, who is the Premier League’s top scorer, would be of greater benefit to Conte’s side than taking a risk with Morata, who has no Premier League experience.
Conte could also be given funds to sign both strikers this summer which would also mean selling Michy Batshuayi but signing both strikers would prove tricky as Morata and Lukaku would want to be first choice strikers in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation that uses just one striker.
