Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly refused to sign a new Everton contract worth £140,000-a-week according to a report by The Guardian.
Mino Raiola, the agent of Lukaku had repeatedly insisted previously Lukaku would accept lucrative new terms and claimed the player had agreed “99.9%” of the deal that would have made him the best-paid player in the club’s history.
Lukaku reportedly informed Everton of his intentions not to sign a new Everton contract on Tuesday following a training session.
Lukaku turned down Everton’s contract offer because he reportedly wants to join a team in the Champions League.
Lukaku has two years left in his current contract and he will push for an exit this summer.
Chelsea were interested in re-signing Lukaku last summer and it’s likely Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will make another effort to re-sign the striker in the summer.
