N’Golo Kante has gone from being called the best in England to being called the best in Europe.
The Frenchman was excellent against Manchester United, and former Manchester United defender Phil Neville believes the 25-year-old is the most effective player in the whole of Europe.
“He breaks up play and then sometimes he finishes it off too,” Neville told the BBC.
“He’s the most effective midfielder in Europe at the moment.
“I don’t see anyone with the influence he has on team. He’s a No.6, an eight and a ten.”
Kante scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea sent Manchester United out of the FA Cup.
