According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United travelled to London for the FA Cup tie with Chelsea at Stamford without any recognized striker.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended for the tie but none of Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, or Marcus Rashford travelled with the United squad according to the report.

It’s now being reported Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho might use Juan Mata or Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a false nine or Marouane Fellaini as a striker to try and dominate in the air.

However, with more than 24 hours to the game (as at the time the news was reported by Manchester Evening News), the missing players could still join the rest of Manchester United squad. Mourinho might just be playing mind games with Chelsea coaching staff.

It’s quite suspicious to have all three strikers (Rooney, Rashford and Martial) out injured. I won’t be surprised to see one of them play against Chelsea on Monday.
