Premier League action resumes for Chelsea, and the Blues will be aiming to get all three points away at Stoke City.

Heading into this weekend’s round of games, Chelsea top the league with 66 points and are 10 points ahead of Tottenham in second place. For Stoke, they are in 9th position, and 30 points separate the Blues and the Potters.

Chelsea have won five of their last six games in all competitions and have won four of their last six league games. For Stoke City, it’s been two wins, two draws and two losses in their last six games.

Chelsea beat Stoke 4-2 at home in the reverse fixture back in December, but the Blues failed to win against the Potters last season in the Premier League, drawing 1-1 at home and losing 1-0 at the Britannia Stadium.

In the last six league meetings between Chelsea and Stoke City, the Blues have won four, lost one and drawn one.

Chelsea have found it difficult at Stoke City in recent times. The Blues have only won two of their last seven games away to Stoke in all competitions. However, the Potters have managed just two victories in 17 Premier League meetings (D3, L12).

Stoke are unbeaten in eight league home games (W4, D4). It’s their best run since a 17-match streak in 2012, which ironically was ended with a 4-0 defeat by Chelsea.

The Potters head into this game with a bit of defensive form, as they have kept three clean sheets in their last four league games.

Conte will be hoping Chelsea can keep a clean sheet, as the Blues have kept just two clean sheets in their last nine league games – which is a far cry from the 10 clean sheets in the previous 12 matches.

While all nine of Stoke’s league wins this season have come against teams currently ranked 12th or lower, Chelsea have won 18 of their 20 Premier League matches this season against the teams currently outside the top five.

A goal for Diego Costa could be his 50th goal in the Premier League since signing for Chelsea in 2014.

My prediction: It’ll be a difficult game and fewer goals will be scored compared to the 6 goals scored in the first leg. But Chelsea will win the game and keep a clean sheet. Stoke 0 vs 2 Chelsea
