Kick Off: Monday, 6 March 2017. 20:00 GMT

Venue: London Stadium

It’s a special Monday night football, as West Ham and Chelsea will renew their derby rivalry at the London Stadium.

Prior to the weekend, Chelsea were top of the table and 10 points ahead of second placed Tottenham Hotspur. While West Ham have overcome their early season blip and were 9th on the table. 30 points separate the two clubs.

In the last six league games, Chelsea have won 4 and drawn 2, while West Ham have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last six league games.

Although West Ham beat a makeshift Chelsea side 2-1 in the EFL Cup fourth round at the London Stadium, Chelsea can take solace in the fact that the Hammers have gotten hammered a lot of the times from the top teams when they come visiting. Manchester City have beaten them twice in the London Stadium this year – 4-0 in the league and 5-1 in the league cup. United beat them in their own ground 2-0, and Arsenal gave them a 5-1 beating on their home soil.

The Hammers have found it tough at the London Stadium, as they have lost to Watford 4-2 and Southampton 3-0 in front of their own fans.

In the last six meetings between Chelsea and West Ham in all competitions, the Blues have won 3 of those games, the Hammers won 2, and 1 ended in a draw.

The Hammers’ victory in this fixture last season is their only win in the last eight Premier League meetings (D2, L5).

My prediction: Yes, it’ll be a tough game, and yes Chelsea will win. West Ham 1 vs 3 Chelsea

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
