Diego Costa has not always had the best of international form in his Spain career, but he’s beginning to make his mark after netting for Spain against Israel in a World Cup qualifier in Gijon – his second goal in a row for Spain.
“Lopetegui? He counts on me and that makes me happy,” he said after the game.
“I always try to do my best in every game. I’m now used to the style of play here.
“Macedonia in June? It’ll be a key match and it’s important for us to win it.
“It’ll also be a date when [club] competitions are over, so we’ll need to be focused.”
