Tammy Abraham already has 16 goals in the Championship for his club Bristol City, and has scored 21 times in all competitions this season. The 19-year-old holds the record of being the first teenager to have hit 16 or more goals in the Championship.
The youngster is seen as the future of Chelsea, and he has revealed in an interview with the official Chelsea website that he has improved in many aspects of his game.
Abraham said: “I’ve improved different aspects of my game. As I said before, there are so many matches so it’s important to prepare your body correctly for each game. Getting enough sleep and putting the right food into your body is important, it’s a different challenge for me but it’s one I’m enjoying.”
Just a season ago, he was playing youth football, and from his performance in the Championship, it’s clear that he adjusted to senior team football in no time.
He told the official Chelsea website: “There’s a massive difference because you’re coming up against players who are bigger, stronger and faster than you so you have to try to find the weakness of your opponent and exploit that. It’s more about your mentality and looking after yourself. There is always another game just a few days away so if things don’t go well there is always an opportunity to redeem yourself. It’s all about how you prepare yourself going into matches.”
