Over the weekend, Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb claimed Chelsea have reached an agreement with Monaco to sign Monaco’s 22-year-old midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko but Daily Mail claim the report isn’t true.
Tuttomercatoweb claimed Bakayoko have agreed a five-year-old contract with Chelsea but Daily Mail insists that isn’t true but agreed talks between Chelsea and Bakayoko’s camp are ongoing.
Chelsea reportedly tried to sign Bakayoko in January but the French man opted against a move in January as he reportedly wanted to see out the season in France.
Premier League rivals Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Bakayoko and reports claim scouts from Manchester United have watched the French man this season.
Chelsea are however favourites to sign Bakayoko, who scored the decisive goal against Manchester City in the Champions League in mid-March.
