Chelsea have been reportedly told to pay as much as £30 million to sign Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson according to a report by Daily Express.

Chelsea scouts have watched the 24-year-old defender several times this season and Chelsea could sign the defender this summer with Middlesbrough ready to cash in on the England U21 international in the summer.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is also interested in the defender as he is rumoured to be interested in signing more English players this summer.

Even though Gibson signed a five-year contract with Middlesbrough last August, Middlesbrough will reportedly let him leave in the summer if their asking price for the defender is matched.
