One scary thing about the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona is that they almost always get their target.
Spanish giant Real Madrid have been particular about Eden Hazard for many seasons now, and while Chelsea are eager to hold on to their prized asset, Real Madrid Just wouldn’t give up, summer after summer.
Hazard had said earlier in the season that he will only consider a transfer from Stamford Bridge should he win the title again with Chelsea.
He said: “If I ever leave, it’ll be after winning a championship. You need to go out on a high so that people remember you for the right reasons.”
Chelsea are on course to win the title this season, and one might think that Hazard could be tempted to switch camps – with the belief that he has done it all in Chelsea.
However a report on Evening Standard claims that even if Hazard wins his second Premier League winners’ medal in three seasons, the 26-year-old has no intention of leaving Chelsea.
The attacking midfielder, who joined from Lille for £32 million in 2012, is settled with his family in London, and is thriving in his free role under Antonio Conte.
Hazard still has over three years left on his contract, and Conte has previously said that there is no price for the Belgian.
If Chelsea can hold on to the peculiar Belgian or even get him to sign a new bumper deal, that to me will be the best transfer deal of the summer.
