Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly set to hire an Italian scout to work for him at Chelsea in order to improve the network of players in his native Italy.
According to The Sun, Conte has reportedly brought Luca Cattani on board, who has previously been sporting director at Serie A club Palermo and Serie B outfit Novara.
It is believed that his role will be to scout players for Conte in the Italian Serie A due to Conte’s preference for players in the Italian league.
Although Conte is yet to sign players from the Italian league, he has been linked with a number of players in the league. Cattani is highly regarded in Italy, and it is believed he could act as an intermediary and liaison to try and convince those big names to move to England, The Sun reports.
