Marcos Alonso joined Chelsea in a £23 million deal last summer from Fiorentina and the Spanish wing-back has slotted in seamlessly into Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system.

According to Spanish media outlet Marca via Daily Express, Alonso’s performances at Chelsea have not gone unnoticed at Real Madrid and Los Blancos are reportedly interested in signing Alonso.

Real Madrid reportedly missed out on the chance to sign Alonso when they opted to extend Fabio Coentrao’s contract but the Spanish club will reportedly make a move for Alonso with Coentrao set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Alonso because they want to sign a home-grown player to boost their quota for the Champions League.
