It was not the best of displays from Chelsea against Stoke City, but the Blues produced champions mentality to win the game with just three minutes left to go.
Alan Shearer was impressed with Chelsea’s winning mentality despite not playing the best football.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer said: “They didn’t play that well today, it was a bit of a scrappy game, loads of fouls, no Hazard but they showed great experience in how to see a game out.
“They showed a great will to win and a will to be champions. They dug it out in the end.”
He then revealed that the celebration of the team after the game showed how important the victory was.
He said: “It was such a big win, it was such an important one.
“I think that the players think now how that how huge that was today.
“The manager, great reaction from all of them. The way they celebrated at the end of the game was pretty telling.”
