Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been instrumental for Chelsea this season and he is among those tipped to win the PFA Player of the Year award.
Everton Director of Football Steve Walsh was responsible for Leicester’s recruitment of Kante in the summer of 2015.
Walsh believes he has found the next N’Golo Kante in Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
“I’ve already found him (the next Kante),” Walsh told The Times when asked who could be the next Kante.
“He was playing with a really poor back four (at Aston Villa) and being bypassed a lot when the ball went the other way.
“But I remember thinking, “if I get the chance… this guy is better than he’s showing.
“He’s very grounded, gets whacked, gets up, gets around people when they have the ball, very much like Kante.
“I’d say his use of the ball is slightly better, even if he’s not quite good at retrieving.”
