The trending word in the football world now is ‘Judas’. Jose Mourinho was called Judas by Chelsea fans in the 1-0 Chelsea win against Manchester United in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup on Monday night.

Now how does that translate to N’Golo Kante? You have to ask Martin O’Neill.

N’Golo Kante was in the stands to watch Leicester’s win against Sevilla in the Champions League last night, and Martin O’Neill jokingly called Kante ‘Judas’ as he celebrated Leicester’s victory.

O’Neill, who was working as a pundit for BT Sport, remarked: “Judas! Judas!”

At that point, Gary Lineker was unaware O’Neill was joking and came to Kante’s defence, saying: “Well, no, I can’t [be critical] with him, he was so pivotal to Leicester’s success last season.”

O’Neill quickly clarified that his remark was a joke.
