Chelsea have been linked with Monaco star Bernardo Silva, but the links just look like one that might end in the back pages of a newspaper.
The 22-year-old has been in great form for Monaco and has attracted interest from many top clubs in the Premier League – and now Bayern Munich are ready to join in the race for Silva.
According to reports in Germany, the Bundesliga giants are prepared to spend a fortune on the attacking midfielder, who has lit up Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season.
The versatile playmaker who has played on both flanks for Monaco this season has lit the Ligue One and Champions League with his exciting style of play, and now Bayern are heavily interested in taking him to the Allianz Arena, no matter how much it’ll cost them.
However, Silva has recently revealed that he’d love a move to the Premier League.
In March, when asked about links with Chelsea and Manchester United, Silva said: “I have no idea if it’s true or not.
“Of course it’s nice to be associated with that kind of club but I haven’t thought a lot about it.
“One day I would like to play in England or Spain, in one of the best leagues in the world, but for now I’m very happy here.”
