Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma returned from a long-term injury early this year but he has struggled for game time since his return from injury with Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta, the preferred centre-backs.
Zouma has managed just four Premier League appearances this season, coming on as a late substitute on each occasion.
Zouma has lost his place in the French squad and the 22-year-old defender admits he wants to impose himself at Chelsea but he won’t rule out a loan move in the summer so he can make France World Cup 2018 squad.
“My aim is to impose myself at Chelsea,” Zouma told beIN sports.
“When I came to the club two-and-a-half years ago, I had a desire to continue here. I’m very happy. I’ve never focused much on the future. I think more to the present, with the squad, which is very good and which is going well. We want to do great things.
“A loan before the World Cup? Why not. We’ll see at the end of the season, but I’m focusing on Chelsea,’ he added.
“I’m confident and I know I will play. I’ve not talked about my future with Antonio Conte.”
