Chelsea captain and legend John Terry yesterday announced his decision to quit Chelsea at the end of the season.

Here are some amazing statistics of John Terry every Chelsea fan should know

1. John Terry was born on 7th December, 1980.

2. He joined Chelsea academy aged 14.

3. Terry signed a pro-contract in March 1998.

4. He made his Chelsea debut against Aston Villa in the League Cup on 28th October 1998. He came in as a substitute for Dan Petrescu. Chelsea won the game 4-1.

5. Terry spent the 1999/00 season on loan with Nottingham Forest. He made six appearances while on loan.

6. Terry has won 14 trophies with Chelsea and could add two medals to his collection if Chelsea do the double this season.

7. Terry won the 2012 UEFA Champions League. He also won the Premier League titles in 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2015. Terry won the Europa League (2013), FA Cup (2000, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012) and League Cup (2005, 2007 and 2015).

8. Terry also won the FA Community shield in 2005 and 2009.

The special honours Terry received include Chelsea Special Commitment Award (2009), Chelsea Player of the Year (2001 and 2006), PFA Player of the Year (2005), UEFA’s most valuable defender (2005, 2008 and 2009), FIFA/FIFPro World Team of the Year (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009), FWA Footballer of the Year runner-up (2005 and 2006), Chairman’s Award (2002) and Chelsea Young Player of the Year (1998).
