The Champions League of this season definitely didn’t feel complete for almost every Blue fan. For the first time in over a decade, we had to watch other teams battle for Europe’s biggest football prize and all we could do was wish our darling Chelsea were involved.
This wouldn’t be the case for next season, as our next league win will confirm our qualification for the Champions League, which was Antonio Conte’s priority when appointed as Chelsea boss.
Speaking about that, the Chelsea boss said: “I think it is a good achievement for us. When we started this season our first target was to play Champions League next season. I think we are very close to reaching this target.
“It’s important for the club, fans and players. Now we stay in a position to try to also win the league. It is a great achievement for us to play in the Champions League next season.”
