Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is reportedly a target for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after contract talks between Arsenal and the Chilean broke down to the Chilean’s wage demands.
Conte has reportedly made Sanchez his transfer priority for the summer but Arsenal are desperate to keep Sanchez and stop him from moving to Chelsea in the summer.
According to Standard Sport, Arsenal want to make Sanchez the highest-paid player in Premier League history by offering him a contract worth £300,000-per-week.
Contract talks between Sanchez and Arsenal broke down in December after Sanchez demanded to be on par with the best-paid players in the Premier League and it seems Arsenal are now willing to smash their wage structure to keep Sanchez and stop him from joining Chelsea.
Standard Sports claim Sanchez is yet to respond to Arsenal’s improved terms.
Chelsea are willing to match Sanchez’s wage demands and Chelsea fans will be hoping Sanchez rejects the new offer from Arsenal and move to Stamford Bridge where he will be guaranteed of winning titles.
